About Me

Helping Couples Find Their Way Back to Each Other

Relationships are deeply meaningful, but they can also be one of life's greatest challenges. Whether you're feeling disconnected, caught in recurring conflict, recovering from betrayal, or uncertain about the future of your relationship, you don't have to navigate it alone.

I'm Greta Dervishaj, a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). For over seven years, I've supported individuals and couples through life's most difficult moments with compassion, curiosity, and evidence-based care. My goal is to provide a space where both partners feel heard, understood, and supported as they work toward greater clarity, healing, and connection.

My Approach to Therapy

I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and every relationship deserves an approach tailored to its unique needs and goals. Using evidence-based methods, including the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Discernment Counseling, I help couples improve communication, strengthen emotional connection, rebuild trust, and navigate life's challenges with greater clarity. My goal is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where both partners feel heard, supported, and empowered to create meaningful, lasting change.

The Gottman Method Couples Therapy

A research-based approach that helps couples improve communication, manage conflict effectively, and build stronger, healthier relationships.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

An evidence-based approach that helps couples strengthen their emotional bond by identifying negative relationship patterns and fostering secure, lasting connection.

Discernment Counseling

A short-term approach designed for mixed-agenda couples, where one partner is considering ending the relationship while the other hopes to repair it, helping both gain clarity about the best path forward.

Why I Became a Therapist

I've always been a natural observer.

Watching the way people interact with those they love sparked my curiosity long before I became a therapist. I found myself wondering why some relationships thrive while others struggle. Why do we repeat certain patterns? Why do we fall in love with some people and not others? What brings us closer, and what causes us to pull away?

These questions led me to study psychology and eventually dedicate my career to helping people build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

As human beings, we are wired for connection. Healthy relationships shape how we experience ourselves, our families, and the world around us. Being able to support couples as they strengthen those connections continues to inspire my work every day.
